Why Unconventional Acres?
Our name says it all! Pasture based farming. Grass fed, grass finished beef. Pigs finished on acorns and hickory nuts in the forest. Tallow and lard based skin care products. We are 'different for good'. Unconventional Acres’ guiding principle is to combine traditional pasture based farming with modern technology.
Where are you located?
We are located in the Southwest corner of Wisconsin. 1 HR West of Madison (State Capital) and 1 HR Northeast of Dubuque, Iowa.
Do you sell breeding stock?
Please see our Breeding Stock page! We sell registered and non-registered Scottish Highlands, as well as Highland crosses. Please contact us to see what we currently have available.
Do you offer farm visits?
At this time we are unable to accommodate visits to the farm. In the meantime, you can visit with us at the Dane County Farmers Market, and/or check out our Instagram (@unconventional_acres) for pictures, videos and details of our day to day activities and projects.
